Home vs Kilmington – Sorry for the bad details I forgot to get the book!

Axminster won the toss and put Kilmington in the field on a rather warm day. Axminster off to a steady start with 11 runs off the first 4 overs. First to go was Dan Fuzzard for 6. Soon after number 3 bat Brad Cross did no damage either and was out shortly after. And to make things worse number 4 bat James Farley did no damage at all. But luckily the steady batting of Peter Kiy and the big hits of Captain Perry put on a big partnership and Axminster ended the batting with 250ish runs.

Kilmington batting was also steady but lacked the run rate to catch up with Axminster’s total. James Whetlor picking up one or two wickets but once again Sam Farrow picking up 4 wickets which puts him at the top of the league in wicket taking. The only bad thing for the day would be that Axminster didn’t pick up the full points as kilmington ended with 180ish for 9.

The seconds take on Upottery this Saturday.
